The need

Why itmatters.

A term’s fees or a clearance deadline is the difference between a student who graduates and one who does not.

Once someone drops out, getting back in is far harder than staying in.

In Nigeria, thousands of capable students sit at home every year. Not because they failed, not because they stopped wanting to learn, but because the money ran out at the wrong time. A school fee at the start of term. A clearance fee before induction. A textbook that cannot be borrowed from anywhere. These are the things that stop a life from going where it should go.

GAMAID Education exists to be the answer that shows up before the deadline.

What we do

How the programmeworks.

6 parts to GAMAID Education

  1. Fees and scholarships

Financial support from secondary school to university, covering tuition, clearance fees, and examination fees. Interest-free loans for deadlines that cannot wait. Each case is verified through school records and direct contact with the institution.

  2. Books, supplies and uniforms

The things a student needs to turn up and be treated like everyone else: textbooks, notebooks, stationery, bags, and school uniforms for those who do not have them.

  3. Tutoring and exam preparation

Private tutoring and subject-specific exam preparation for students who are struggling academically, or who need focused support to clear a difficult paper.

  4. The FARS Seminar

Financial Prudence, Academic Efficiency, Relational Intelligence, and Skills Acquisition: practical, scripture-guided life skills for students. Delivered in secondary schools and on university campuses across Akwa Ibom State.

  5. School outreach

GAMAID staff and volunteers visit schools to speak into the lives of students on career choices, personal development, resilience, and faith. Over 20 secondary schools reached.

  6. Follow-up and mentorship

Recipients are not left alone after support is given. GAMAID follows up through progress reports, school feedback, and connection to the mentorship programme, to ensure the investment keeps producing.

Who it is for

The peoplethis is for.

GAMAID Education supports students who are capable but do not have enough money to stay in school. This includes:

  • Secondary school students from low-income families who cannot afford term fees, uniforms, or exam registration
  • University and polytechnic students facing clearance fees, accommodation costs, or unexpected financial crises
  • Students in GAMAID’s other programmes, those we are already feeding or sheltering, who need additional educational support
  • Students referred by schools, churches, and community leaders who know the situation

Cases are confirmed through school records and referrals. Recipients are followed up through progress reports and mentorship connections.
