What happens to your gift, and what you can expect from us.

Designation
A gift designated to a programme is spent on that programme. If a programme is fully funded or closes, we will contact you before redirecting your gift; if we cannot reach you, it goes to the nearest programme in the same stage. Gifts marked “where most needed” go wherever the board decides the need is greatest that month.
Receipts
Every online gift is receipted by email automatically. Bank transfers are receipted within 3 working days of being matched. If a receipt has not arrived, email hello@gamaidfoundation.org.
Refunds
If you gave by mistake, or the wrong amount, tell us within 14 days quoting the reference and we will refund it in full to the original payment method. After 14 days we will still consider a refund, but the money may already have been spent.
Monthly gifts
Monthly gifts are handled by our payment provider’s subscription tooling. You can cancel at any time using the link in your receipt or by emailing us; the cancellation takes effect before the next charge.
What we will not do
We do not accept gifts that come with conditions we cannot honour, gifts from sources we believe to be unlawful, or gifts into any account other than the foundation’s own: the Nigerian bank account, our payment provider, and GAMAID’s US channels (PayPal, Zelle, GoFundMe). Our only official details are on the verify page.
US donors
GAMAID Foundation is registered in the United States as GAMAID. Gifts through PayPal, Zelle and GoFundMe are receipted by those services; email us if you need a receipt from GAMAID directly. Whether a US gift is tax-deductible depends on our US status, which is being confirmed.
