Safeguardingstatement

The people we serve are often at their most vulnerable. This is how we keep them safe from harm, including from us.

Last updated 3 September 2026.

Our commitments

  • No adult is ever alone with a child in a GAMAID programme.
  • Staff and volunteers who work with children or vulnerable adults provide references and an identity check before they start.
  • Help is never conditional on anything — not faith, not attendance, not gratitude.
  • Photographs and stories are published only with written, recorded consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Concerns are taken seriously, recorded, and acted on, whoever they are about.

Raising a concern

If you are worried about the safety or treatment of anyone in a GAMAID programme, contact our safeguarding lead at hello@gamaidfoundation.org or on 0810 864 5616. You can do so anonymously. If someone is in immediate danger, call the police first.
