My name is Victoria Ama. I have been helped by GAMAID Foundation on so many occasions, but the support that stands out the most was between January and March 2025, when my family was going through serious financial constraints. There were many days when I would eat only once, and even then, just very small portions to manage. I was desperate for basic necessities, so I reached out, and GAMAID Foundation immediately began providing me with delicious, nourishing meals, week after week, so that I could finally eat to my fill without stressing about the cost.
At the same time, I genuinely did not have decent clothing, and I felt so embarrassed attending classes in shabby outfits. Once again, GAMAID Foundation came through for me, blessing me with beautiful gowns, jeans, trousers, shirts and tops that not only saved me the expense but truly restored my dignity. And beyond meeting my immediate needs, their mentors taught me vital lessons on handling money wisely, how to ask for an allowance that genuinely covers my needs, how to budget every naira properly, how to set spending priorities and how to practice real self control.
As I started applying these principles, my situation changed in ways I never expected. I may not be wealthy today, but I no longer face those desperate shortages I once knew, and I can meet my basic needs consistently now. GAMAID Foundation has helped me far beyond anything I ever imagined, and I remain forever grateful to God for leading me to this foundation, and to every volunteer and sponsor whose kindness continues to change my life.
