My name is God’sfavour Udoumoh, and I live in Uyo. Before GAMAID Foundation came into my life, financial hardship was a constant weight on my shoulders. On top of that, as a medical student, I barely had presentable, corporate clothing to my name. While I didn’t feel disconnected from others, I did receive occasional comments that I needed to dress better.
When I was preparing for my 2nd professional exams, life on campus was especially tough. Meals at the hostel were really expensive. I heard about GAMAID Foundation through my church, and was invited to one of their outreach seminars. I never imagined that a single invitation could turn into the lifeline I so desperately needed.
During the exams, GAMAID Foundation provided consistent feeding support throughout the three-week season, ensuring I never missed a nourishing meal during those critical days. Those meals didn’t just fuel my body, they sharpened my focus and strengthened my confidence. At the same time, their Garment team kept blessing me with a continuous flow of new clothes; gowns, blouses, trousers, shirts, and more,so I could face each day with dignity and professionalism.
The support I later received, ₦30,000 stipends and countless pieces of clothing, brought immense relief to my parents. Seeing me well-fed and nicely dressed brought visible satisfaction to them and to many around me.
Beyond the material help, the kindness of GAMAID Foundation restored my self-respect and allowed me to focus fully on my studies, free from the constant worry about meals or clothing.
Their generosity has been a source of comfort and strength during some of the most challenging seasons of my life. I remain deeply grateful to every team member, sponsor, and volunteer whose love and compassion continue to change my world. I genuinely look forward to growing this relationship with GAMAID Foundation and discovering just how many more lives we can uplift together.
