The FARS Seminar: financial prudence, academic efficiency, relational intelligence, skills

FARS is GAMAID’s life-skills seminar for students: how to manage money, study well, build healthy relationships and acquire useful skills, all grounded in scripture.

FARS stands for Financial Prudence, Academic Efficiency, Relational Intelligence and Skills Acquisition. It is the education programme's seminar for students and, in some sessions, the wider public.

Financial prudence: managing resources responsibly, making sound decisions, and practising discipline and stewardship on biblical principles. Academic efficiency: effective study habits, time management and disciplined thinking. Relational intelligence: emotional understanding, communication and godly character. Skills acquisition: identifying opportunities, growing in competence and applying God-given abilities with diligence.

Participants have written about repeating a year of medical school and then passing every paper at the first sitting, about discovering group study after years as a solo reader, and about a father-daughter relationship restored through the relational intelligence sessions. Scholarship recipients are followed up through academic progress reports and mentorship with the education team.
