GAMAID Foundation has hosted the maiden edition of its Metavasi Programme at the University of Uyo, bringing together 334 participants for a programme focused on academic efficiency, effective learning and student development.

The event, held at Onyema Ugochukwu Hall, Town Campus, attracted 276 students and 58 university workers, who participated in sessions designed to provide practical approaches to improving academic performance and productivity.

The programme addressed key areas including time management, focused learning, effective study planning, management of distractions and the smarter use of technology and AI tools in learning.

Participants also had access to professional counselling and an interactive question-and-answer session, providing an opportunity to discuss academic and personal challenges and receive practical guidance.

Refreshments were also provided for participants as part of the programme.

Supporting Students Beyond the Classroom

The Metavasi Programme is part of GAMAID Foundation's broader efforts to support students beyond conventional academic programmes.

Over the years, the Foundation has provided feeding, accommodation and other essential support to students, recognising that basic needs and personal circumstances can significantly affect a student's ability to remain focused on education.

Through initiatives such as Metavasi, GAMAID Foundation seeks to equip students with practical knowledge and support that can contribute to their academic and personal development.

The maiden edition marks the beginning of the Foundation's plans to continue creating platforms where students can access relevant knowledge, guidance and support.

GAMAID Foundation is calling on individuals, organisations and other stakeholders to partner with the Foundation in reaching more students through educational programmes, mentorship and practical support.
