Restored to Wholeness: Edidiong Usen’s Journey of Healing

I am Edidiong Usen, 26 years old, from Uyo in Akwa Ibom State. In late 2023, my life took an unexpected turn when I was involved in a serious car accident that left me injured and my family reeling from the shock. As the medical bills mounted and my wounds demanded constant care, fear and uncertainty settled in—we had no way to cover treatment costs, nor the simple comforts of regular meals and a safe place to rest during my recovery.

My path to hope began through my church family, who recognized my crisis and introduced me to GAMAID Foundation. From the very first call, their compassion was evident. They listened to my story, prayed with me, and assured me that help was on the way. That simple act of care lifted a weight from my shoulders and gave me the confidence to believe I would not face this trial alone.

True to their word, GAMAID stepped in immediately. They covered all my medical expenses, ensuring that doctors and nurses could focus on my healing rather than paperwork or payments. Beyond paying the hospital bills, they arranged for wholesome meals each day—meeting my nutritional needs when I was too weak to cook—and provided safe, comfortable accommodation so I could rest undisturbed until my wounds healed completely.

The impact of their intervention was profound. With the financial burden lifted, my family and I found relief and peace for the first time since the accident. My recovery accelerated as I rested without worry; each nourishing meal and each night’s sleep under a secure roof renewed both my body and my spirit. The stress that once clouded our days was replaced by gratitude and hope.

To the team at GAMAID Foundation, I offer my deepest thanks. Your timely generosity transformed my season of suffering into one of restoration. May your foundation continue to bear much fruit, bringing healing, dignity, and peace to many more lives just as you brought to mine.
