My name is Ibim Jaja. I am thirty years old, and I live here in Uyo.
Before GAMAID Foundation came into my life, things were not easy at all. Money was a serious issue, and on top of that, where I stay, we do not have a market nearby. The closest one is in another local government, so anytime I needed to buy foodstuff, I had to travel and buy everything I needed in one go, then manage it till the next market day.
The real problem was storage. I did not have a fridge. So whatever I cooked, I had to keep warming it morning, afternoon and night, just so it would not spoil. The gas I was burning, the time I was wasting, the food that still ended up going bad anyway, it was just too much. I was tired.
I got to know about GAMAID Foundation through my church. From the first time we spoke, I could see these people were serious. They were not just making promises for the sake of it. They actually listened, and they followed up.
Early this year, in 2025, they delivered on everything they said. They bought me a brand new fridge, something worth over ₦300,000. I cannot even explain how I felt that day. My food started lasting. I stopped wasting gas. I could plan my meals properly for once. That one gift changed how I run my home.
What GAMAID Foundation did for me is not something I will forget. May God continue to bless the Foundation and everybody supporting the work they are doing. Thank you, I am grateful
