I am an adult resident of Uyo who has received life-changing support from GAMAID FOUNDATION. Before the intervention of the Foundation, my family and I were facing severe challenges, including financial hardship, hunger, housing insecurity, medical emergencies, and the responsibility of continuing a young girl’s education amidst all of this. We were overwhelmed, with no reliable source of help.
Beginning in 2020, GAMAID FOUNDATION stepped in and has consistently supported us for over five years. The support we received was both monetary and material, with an estimated total value of ₦700,000. This assistance came in various forms, including the regular payment of my niece’s school fees, ensuring that her education continued without disruption. During my late sister’s critical illness, the Foundation made significant contributions to cover her hospital bills. In addition, we received consistent support for food, which helped us get through several seasons of lack.
The Foundation also funded medical check-ups and hospital visits for my niece, provided clothes for my sister’s children, and extended generous loans during financial emergencies, always with kindness and a forgiving spirit. In moments where employment was needed, job opportunities were made available, helping us stay afloat and regain a sense of dignity and purpose.
Through GAMAID’s support, my family has been saved from countless difficult situations. There were many times we did not know how we would survive, but their timely intervention gave us hope, stability, and relief. The impact of their help cannot be overstated; it has restored our confidence and allowed us to move forward.
