Accommodation
Since April 2024, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to stay in the church’s brothers’ family houses, both in Abuja and Lagos. When I first arrived, I was unable to contribute to the cost of rent or other living expenses. Despite this, the church welcomed me and supported my accommodation without hesitation. This act of kindness gave me stability at a time when I had none. Over time, as I settled in and began to find my footing, I was eventually able to contribute toward feeding. Living in the brethren house has not only provided me with shelter, but also with a spiritually uplifting and disciplined environment that continues to impact my life positively.

Scholarship
One of the most significant forms of support I received was a fully funded scholarship from the church to learn carpentry in Lagos. The church didn’t just sponsor the tuition — they also took care of the logistics, planning, and every aspect involved in getting me started on this journey. This wasn’t a casual offer; it was intentional and tailored to help me build a future. Furthermore, I was also given a grant to support my pastries business. This gave me the boost I needed to take practical steps toward economic independence, allowing me to put to use what I had learned in a sustainable way. The scholarship and grant have both been deeply empowering.

Vocational Training
Through the GAMAID Foundation, I was enrolled in professional vocational training in carpentry and upholstery at Majours Academy in Lagos. This training was not just theoretical but deeply hands-on and practical. I was taught by experienced professionals and guided through real-life projects, which gave me a strong foundation in the craft. Carpentry and upholstery are skills I had admired from afar, but now, thanks to this opportunity, I’m able to confidently handle tools, read measurements, construct furniture, and even take on commissioned work. The knowledge and discipline I gained during this period have been a major leap forward for me — not just as a craftsman, but also as a person growing in responsibility and purpose.

Final Note
I am genuinely grateful to the church and to the GAMAID Foundation for the support I’ve received in this season of my life. From shelter, to professional training, to financial backing, each part of this journey has played a role in shaping me into someone who can now stand, serve, and grow. These opportunities have not only changed my present but are paving the way for a much brighter future. Thank you for believing in me.
