Before I received help from the GAMAID Foundation, I was in a very difficult place in my life. I had been involved in a serious accident that nearly cost me my life. At the same time, I was dealing with financial pressures. I needed funds to complete my final year clearance at the university, pay for my professional license, and get a suit for my induction. I also needed some support to settle into a new job while waiting for my first salary.
I first heard about the GAMAID Foundation through a church, and I thank God I did. Their support came in two major areas—medical care and financial aid. From November to December 2024, they covered all my hospital bills, including my admission, treatments, feeding, and even very expensive MRI scans. This was a huge relief because neither I nor my family could have afforded such costs. Though I can’t state the exact amount spent, I know it ran into hundreds of thousands of naira, likely over half a million.
In addition to the medical help, they also provided financial assistance. My final year clearance and fees for my professional license came to about ₦215,000. Getting a new suit and accessories for my induction cost around ₦50,000, while convocation fees were ₦30,000. Later, in 2025, I took a loan of ₦140,000 to help me settle into my new job and fix a few things in my apartment before salaries began coming in, and I was able to pay it back.
This support had a massive impact on my life. My parents have been going through serious financial challenges in recent years, so this help lightened the burden significantly. It enabled me to recover from a near-death accident, complete my school clearance, get licensed, look good on my induction day, and start my new job with dignity and ease.
I am truly grateful to God for the GAMAID Foundation. They stepped in at a time when everything could have gone the wrong way. I pray that God increases them and helps them fulfill their mission so they can reach more lives and achieve all their dreams.
