My name is Aniefiok Eneh.

In September 2023, I was on the verge of a big move, but I did not have the money to back it up. I had just gotten admission to a new location, and the timing was very tight. I had to buy almost everything I needed to start afresh, furniture, kitchen utensils, beddings, the works, and I was supposed to travel the very next day. My pocket was already stretched to its limit, and I was beginning to fear that this whole opportunity would just slip through my fingers and I would have to push the move forward.

In the middle of all that pressure, a friend of mine reminded me about GAMAID Foundation. He said they are people who respond fast when somebody is genuinely in need. I had nothing to lose at that point, so I reached out and explained my situation.

Less than one hour later, on the same day before my journey, ₦60,000 entered my account. I almost could not believe it. That money came at the right time, and it covered everything on my list, from the small kitchen items to the major things I needed for the house. The fear and stress I had been carrying that whole week just left me, just like that.

The impact was immediate. I finished my shopping on time, packed my things properly, and travelled the next day with peace of mind. Settling into my new place was smooth, and instead of running around trying to find basic household things, I could focus on meeting people and finding my feet in the new environment.

To the entire GAMAID team and every volunteer who played a part, thank you very much. The way you responded that day showed me that real compassion still exists, and that no genuine cry for help goes unheard. May God continue to bless the work you are doing, and may you always be there for people who feel like they have nowhere else to turn. Thank you for being an answer to prayer.
