My name is Uduak Effiong. In 2022, I was going through one of the most challenging seasons of my life, and during that time, I was staying at a church family house where I was deeply immersed in learning the Word of God. It was within that spiritual community that I experienced extraordinary kindness, all of it flowing through the support of GAMAID Foundation.
Anytime I was low on cash, my brethren would step in to cover my essential expenses, and most importantly, they made sure I never lacked basic things like food. Their generosity stretched far beyond just meals, though. They lovingly washed my clothes, cooked for me and looked after me in every way, especially during the times when I was unwell and could not really do much for myself.
This kind of all round care had a deep impact on my journey. The steady support of these loving people, which was truly a direct expression of GAMAID Foundation’s mission, became a real blessing that carried me through that difficult period. Their kindness did not just meet my physical needs, it genuinely felt like the hands and heart of Christ helping me walk through one of life’s hardest seasons with my hope and dignity still intact.
