My name is Moses Simon. Between the 24th and 25th of August 2023, I received a loan that helped me with my final year school project, and till today, that timely help still lives fresh in my mind.

 

Throughout my university education, I was only partially sponsored by my struggling parents and my sister, while I had to cover plenty of my own needs by myself. During this particular period, I was just starting my final year project, and I was completely financially down. I genuinely had no real hope of any income coming in, and the only option that even seemed possible was to take a loan from somewhere, because the deadline for meeting my project requirements was right around the corner.

 

I still remember it vividly. On that day, the 24th of August 2023, I was in the vehicle with my project team and our supervisor, heading to a village to collect soil samples and other environmental specimens for the work, when I was suddenly asked to pay up my own contribution. It was honestly more than just slight embarrassment, because I was literally the only one in the group who had not paid yet. Thankfully, I summoned the courage to reach out, and to my complete surprise, the money came in without much delay and without any long protocol.

 

This timely financial help allowed me to participate fully and finish my final year project with my team, right on time. It lifted the stress off me and saved me from real embarrassment. I am also so grateful for the patience and grace I was given to repay the loan at the stipulated time.

 

I honestly cannot overemphasise just how grateful I still am for this. The truth is, I struggled at first to even ask for the help, and that is why it dragged till the very last minute. But the moment I did ask, the help came through within the hour. May God bless GAMAID Foundation, and may He keep using them to fulfil this God given assignment. Thank you so much, GAMAID Foundation!
