GAMAID, in partnership with God’s Lighthouse Church, has reached over 20 secondary schools across Uyo, Eket, Abak, and Ikot Ekpene, extending its impact to states such as Abuja and Ogun through faith-based outreach programs.
These outreaches include discipleship sessions and the distribution of free Bibles, providing spiritual guidance, moral support, and encouragement to students and community members.
GAMAID conducts programs in the Uyo Correctional Facility, the University of Uyo, and other institutions, reaching individuals in need of spiritual and emotional support.
Through discipleship, healing, rehabilitation initiatives, and free Bible distribution, these programs foster spiritual growth, emotional restoration, and personal transformation, helping participants rebuild their lives and become responsible citizens.
Our approach to justice-driven advocacy
We focus on systemic hunger, not just as a lack of food, but as a deeply rooted outcome of inequality and neglect. We stand with the poor, who are often silenced and sidelined, facing daily oppression not because they lack ability, but because systems fail them. We defend vulnerable groups; children, women, the disabled, the displaced, whose rights are repeatedly violated in quiet corners of society. These aren’t abstract causes for us. They are people. Real stories. Real pain. And we believe justice begins when their voices are amplified, their dignity restored, and their humanity acknowledged.
Faith is not just behind our work, it is woven into every part of it. We draw strength from the biblical call in Isaiah 1:17 to “defend the oppressed”. For us this isn’t just a verse, it’s a charge. This is the reason we go as far as defending the poor in courts, visiting the prisons or advocating for arbitration and peaceful settlement. Our advocacy is both prayerful and practical, driven by compassion, grounded in justice, and expressed through ethical campaigns that reflect God’s heart for the broken. Before we raise our voices, we bend our knees. Before we design strategies, we seek wisdom. Faith compels us to act not just in word, but in love, truth, and integrity.
Absolutely. While our roots are deeply grounded in Christian values, our arms are open to all who are passionate about justice, compassion, and dignity for every human being. We welcome collaboration with individuals and organizations, committed to standing up for the marginalized. Because injustice doesn't discriminate, and neither should the fight against it.
Yes, we do, because real change often begins where policies are made. Behind every unjust system is a policy that once went unquestioned. That’s why we work hand-in-hand with government institutions, not with confrontation, but with conviction. We bring stories backed by data, and pain backed by proof, through evidence-based proposals that highlight both the problems and the possibilities, with the belief that if systems can shift, then lives can change.
We don't decide from a distance. We listen from within. Through community consultations, listening circles, and direct engagement, we ask the simple but powerful question: What do you need most right now? It's in these conversations with mothers, the youths, displaced families, and community elders, that the real priorities emerge. Whether it’s access to food, protection from abuse, or the right to education, our focus areas are shaped by those living the reality, not by assumptions made from afar.
