What's the problem with clothing?

A significant portion of our beneficiary base lacks proper clothing and weather-appropriate covering, due to poverty, displacement, or reintegration after incarceration. Also, when people get born again, they need to change their wardrobes to more decent clothes. Ironically, several individuals and families have boxes of clothing items and footwear that can easily meet this need, but who will bridge the gap?

Our Success Story

Since 2018, over 12,000 clothing items, footwear, and accessories have been collected from donations by members of God’s Lighthouse, carefully sorted and stored, and distributed to needy secondary school students, university students, mothers, children across all ages, and infants. ACGH trains young women and men in garment care, logistics, inventory management, categorization, and fitting. With donations from individuals, but not limited to the following, we have:

Provided new clothes to the four children of a family living in an underprivileged setting on a property we oversee. We have improved their hygiene and overall well-being.

Conducted a school outreach program, assessing and holding clothing drives, and changing clothes for children in need.

Relieved young people, especially those who are vulnerable, who couldn't afford proper clothing, by providing donated clothes.
